Walkthrough

1. Speak to the Ruincamp arcanist
   'A rift has opened near the Veilbridge. The discover team flagged a mushroom-thing. Survey it then handle it.'
2. Plot the crossing at the cartograph
   The cartograph crew copies the threshold marks onto a fresh chart. The lead surveyor hands you the chart without comment. He has crossed himself once and won't do it again.
3. Open the rift at the bridge
   The rift opens cleanly when you read the threshold lines aloud. The other side smells of wet stone and rot. Something deep in the chamber shifts when your foot touches the floor.
4. Cut down the fungus at the threshold
   The fungus was already moving when you came through. You cut the stalk, then the base, then the second one behind it. The spores settle. The way deeper opens.
5. Report back to the arcanist
   'Cleaner than expected. Keep watching that bridge.'
