Walkthrough

1. Open the ledger at Shortha
   The trader slides the ledger across. 'Five towns, five deals, walked in order; the book's yours if you close them all. Stray and the prices stop matching the page.'
2. Close the deal at Redhelm
   Redhelm's seller wants twice the ledger price; you wait three hours. He drops it the moment a rival walks past, and the ledger marks the deal in your hand.
3. Close the deal at Longha Shops
   The Longha shopkeeper reads the ledger upside down and laughs. 'My old route, pay what's written and no more.' You pay; the page updates by itself.
4. Close the deal at Sandport Shops
   Sandport's broker keeps a clean counter. You read the ledger, name the price, hand the gold over. He counts it twice and writes you a route slip.
5. Close the ledger at the Northern Shops
   The last broker signs the back of the ledger without reading it. 'Everyone walks this road eventually, but most don't finish. The book's yours now.'
