Tidefield Vineyard Rot

Rot is creeping up the vineyard's south row, so the grower needs clean stems from the orchard.

Requirements

Speak to the grower at Tidefield Bank
'South row's gone black at the base. Pull clean stems from the orchard before the rot jumps the path. Don't touch the leaves on the way through.'
Cut clean stems in the orchard
You take stems from the older trees first, the way she showed you. The bark is dry, the cuts heal pale. None of them carry the rot.
Graft the stems onto the vineyard
The graft work goes slow. You wrap each join with linen and tar and tag the south row so she knows which rows took. Eight of ten hold.
Return to the grower
She walks the row at dawn and counts the same eight. 'That'll save the harvest. The rest I'll burn before it spreads. You earned this stack.'
