The Stillbark Orchard Frost

Save what trees you can in the Stillbark orchard before the frost rot takes the rest.

Requirements

Meet the orchard keeper at Stillbark Bank
'Frost came two nights ago. Half the trees are gone. The other half I can save if someone works the rows with me starting now.'
Work the orchard rows
The keeper marks each tree as you go. Some get cut back hard, some just have the dead wood pulled. You learn the cuts by the third row.
Bring back salt water from the sea
Salt water for the root rot, the keeper said. You haul two buckets back from the sea path. Your shoulders won't forgive that walk.
Treat the surviving roots in the orchard
Salt water on every cut, root deep where the rot showed. The keeper nods at the third tree. 'That one'll fruit again. Maybe half of them will.'
Settle with the keeper at Stillbark Bank
'Half is more than I had this morning. Take what you want from the dry store. You earned it twice.'
