Snowthorn Deep Shaft

A Snowthorn shaft boss lost three carts to a cave-in and the quota didn't move.

Requirements

Meet the shaft boss at Snowthorn Bank
'Cave-in took three carts and a week's haul. Quota's still due. The vein up top is light but the shaft below it is still good. Help me dig out.'
Work the upper vein for what's left
The vein gives up half a cart of mithril before the rock turns to slag. You scratch a line on the wall to mark where the next crew should start.
Clear and work the deep shaft
The deep shaft opens into a wider chamber than the maps showed. Mithril and a small seam of aluminum, untouched. You pull two full carts before the lamps gutter.
Eat with the crew at the spit
The crew throws on hot fish and bread. They argue about whose lamp gutters last but you all eat without complaint, which is the closest thing to a thank you.
Return the haul to the boss
'Two carts and change. Quota's met. There's a wider chamber down there now, isn't there. We'll talk after the audit.'
