The First Dig

An archaeologist at Ruincamp hit a chamber the maps don't show.

Requirements

Meet the archaeologist at Ruincamp Bank
She doesn't look up from her notes. 'My team broke through a wall four nights ago. The chamber on the other side isn't on any of my maps. I need someone steady to walk in with me.'
Clear spoil from the dig
Two of her diggers are still hauling spoil from the chamber mouth. You take the rope and clear the rest yourself. The opening goes deeper than it should.
Descend into the chamber
The chamber walls are cut, not natural. The far wall has writing in a hand she doesn't recognize. She copies three lines and stops. 'That's enough. We leave.'
Return to the archaeologist
She seals the rubbing in oilcloth and pours two cups of cold tea. 'The script names a place across the veil. I'll need to read more before we go further. Come back when I send word.'
