The Master Bard's Circuit

Six taverns, six original verses, one circuit walked in one season.

Walkthrough

1. Open the circuit at Longha Court
   The master bard pours you a short drink. 'Six houses, six verses you've never sung, written as you go. If the last verse names the first, you've passed.'
2. Perform at Shortha Court
   Shortha's crowd is half guard captains and half drunks. You sing the second verse slow; the captains laugh first, and the drunks join in by the chorus.
3. Perform at Highroot Court
   The Highroot court is open to the roots themselves. You sing facing the great trunk and the third verse echoes back twice. You count both.
4. Perform at Glowrock Court
   Glowrock's hall is lit by stone, not lamps. You write the fourth verse on the walk in and it lands. A miner buys you the night's last drink.
5. Perform at Sandport Theatre
   Sandport's theatre wants a full voice. You give it one. The fifth verse names a sailor in the front row and she does not stop laughing for a minute.
6. Close the circuit at Stillport
   The sixth verse opens with the line you sang first at Longha. The master bard is at the back of the room. He raises one finger and walks out.
