Farnorth Glacier Run

Cross the glacier with the cartograph crew before the storm closes the route.

Requirements

Break camp at Icecap Bank
The lead cartographer is already roped up at the gate. 'Storm in two days. We get past the crevasse field by dusk or we sit out the winter.'
Cross to Farnorth Bank
You drop into Farnorth on the leeward side of the ridge. Half the team is already digging out a wind shelter. The cartographer hasn't slept in two days.
Charge the route sigils at the font
You set the sigil chain along the rope. The font takes the charge slow in the cold. The cartographer nods when the last stone settles. 'They'll hold a week.'
Scout to the Timberchill expedition
The ridge over the expedition camp shows the next stretch is a clean blue ice shelf. You pace the bearing, log it, and walk back before the light goes.
Cook the night meal at the spit
The spit takes an hour to heat in this wind. The crew eats standing up. The cartographer eats sitting and falls asleep with the bowl in her lap.
Bring the maps to Farnorth Bank
The cartographer wakes long enough to stamp the maps and slide them into the locked drawer. 'Pole's two weeks out. You're coming with us when we go.'
