Resurvey the Drypocket high ground
You walk the ridges with the compass and the surveyor's old book. The drift shows up in three places, all small, all in the same direction. The guild map is leaning west.
Cross the wilds for the long sightline
The wilds open onto the long sightline at the old marker stone. The new fix lines up clean with the survey ridge. You mark the stone with chalk for the next walker.
