Read the obelisk's residue
The stone is cold to the palm. Three of the upper sigils have been chiseled out clean. Whoever did it knew which ones.
Show the keeper the missing sigils
She traces the gaps with one finger. 'Anchor, voice, return. Someone meant to cut the obelisk loose. Battlefrost uses the same three.'
Compare the marks at Battlefrost
The fragment circle has fresh chisel work matching the obelisk's gaps. A wax stub still sits in the snow. Someone copied the cuts from here.
